- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. dark corn syrup
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. pecan halves
Directions

1Butter sides of a heavy saucepan.

2In it, combine sugars, corn syrup and milk.

3Heat and stir over medium heat until sugars dissolve and mixture comes to a boil. Cook to soft ball (234°) stage, stirring occasionally.

4Cool 10 minutes.

5Add vanilla and beat by hand 2 minutes. Add pecans and beat until mixture loses its gloss. Drop by tablespoons onto waxed paper.

6If candy becomes too stiff, add a teaspoon or so of hot water.
