- 1 lb shrimp
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 14 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 3 medium red onions, thinly sliced
- 2 green chilies
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- 4 curry leaves
- 14 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
Directions

1Combine the ingredients for marinating.

2Marinate the prawns in this mixture for half an hour.

3Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the prawns until just cooked through.

4Remove from pan, reserving remaining oil in the pan.

5Saute the onions and green chillies in the same oil used for frying prawns until the color of the vegetables changes.

6Add the ginger-garlic paste and saute again till the fresh smell of the paste goes away.

7Add all the powders and fry well.

8Add tomato and saute till tomatoes cooked.

9Add the fried prawns and salt as desired.

10Cover and let it simmer for 3 minutes.

11Sprinkle garam masala and add curry leaves.

12Mix and serve with rice or chappathi.
