  • 2 c. flour (plain)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. fig preserves
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. pecans, chopped

Directions

    Mix dry ingredients; add oil and mix well.

    Add eggs, vanilla and buttermilk.

    Add preserves, pecans and raisins.

    Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan, not greased, at 325° for 40 to 45 minutes.

    Poke holes in cake.
