1In a pressure canner, place cleaned turkey.

2Fill canner about 3/4 full of water.

3Salt turkey with about 1/4 cup salt.

4Cook about 1 1/2 hours.

5When turkey is done, pour gruel into crock-pot.

6Separate turkey from the bone and place it in gruel in crock-pot; let simmer.

7Turkey will be tender and juicy.
