Pressure Cooker Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. lean stew meat, trimmed and cubed
  • 4 or 5 new potatoes, cubed
  • 3 or 4 carrots, sliced crossways (thin)
  • 1 (16 oz.) can cut green beans and liquid
  • 1 (16 oz.) can diced tomatoes and liquid
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • salt, pepper, oregano and garlic powder to taste

Directions

    Brown meat, seasonings and onion in about 1 or 2 tablespoons Crisco.

    Add 1/2 cup water.

    Add in this order (do not stir): potatoes, carrots, green beans with liquid and tomatoes with the liquid.

    Cook at 15 pounds pressure for 18 minutes.

    Run water over cooker to lower pressure.
  6. 6
    Stir and serve at once.
