  • 1 3/4 teaspoons baker's yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups hot water from the tap
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • salt
  • 4 cups flour

    In the bowl of the bread maker, add the hot water and yeast, and let it create a foam.

    Then add the milk, butter, sugar, salt and finally the flour, and select the kneading program (15 minutes).

    Let the dough rest.

    Remove, and on a floured work surface, knead a little longer to get a light, malleable dough that does not stick to the hands.

    Make a long roll as if making a baguette.

    Cut into equal squares, and let stand for 30 more minutes.

    Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

    Bring 2 liters of water to boil in a large pan.

    When boiling, gently dip the bread squares in water for 30 seconds, then remove them carefully.
