  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 2 c. flour
  • salt and pepper
  • milk
  • coarse salt

Directions

    Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry.

    Beat egg yolks until lemony.

    Work with hands or a spoon, the butter and egg yolks into the flour.

    Fold in beaten egg whites.

    Season with salt and pepper.

    Roll out, slice and shape as desired.

    Brush pretzels with milk and sprinkle with coarse salt.

    Bake on a cookie sheet in preheated 350° oven for about 10 minutes, turning once.

    Really good with melted Cheez Whiz over them.
