- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 1/2 c. hot water
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 to 5 c. flour
- 1 egg (no matter how many pretzels are made)
Directions

1Mix all ingredients except for flour and egg.

2Add flour to form stiff dough.

3Knead 10 minutes.

4Shape; roll into a rope. Place on greased pan.

5Bake at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown.

6Brush each pretzel with beaten egg.

7Put coarse salt (Crazy Jane's) on each pretzel.
