- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. coarse salt
Directions

1Add yeast to a large bowl, then add warm water and mix.

2Add flour, 1 teaspoon salt and sugar.

3Mix, mix, mix.

4Turn out on floured surface.

5Punch down and fold.

6Repeat this 10 to 20 times. Make 6 to 8 balls.

7Roll and shape into a pretzel (or any shape you prefer).

8Brush with beaten egg.

9Sprinkle with salt.

10Bake at 425° for 12 minutes.

11Remove and cool 10 minutes.
