- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 1/2 c. warm water
- 7 tsp. sugar
- 4 tsp. salt
- 7 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 c. melted shortening
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl.

2Add sugar and salt; mix well.

3Combine flour and shortening in bowl; mix well. Add flour mixture to yeast mixture gradually to form soft dough. Place in greased bowl, turning to coat surface.

4Let rise, covered, until doubled in bulk.

5Punch dough down.

6Let stand for 5 minutes.

7Shape into rolls.

8Place on greased baking sheet.
-
9Let rise, covered, until doubled in bulk.

10Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
