- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 2 slices Bread
- 1 sprig Sweet Basil
- 1/2 cups Gorgonzola Cheese
- 13 whole Apple, Sliced Into Very Thin Wedges (about 1 Mm Thick)
Directions

1Prepare sandwich: cover bottom slice of bread with gorgonzola cheese.

2Separate leaves from the sweet basil sprig and place the leaves randomly on top of the cheese.

3Heat pan: place a small pan over medium high heat; add butter.

4When butter is sizzling, carefully place bottom slice of bread (with the cheese) on the pan.

5When cheese is barely beginning to melt, add apple or pear slices and then add the top slice of bread.

6Check for doneness: bottom slice should be golden brown when its ready to flip.

7At this point, carefully turn over the sandwich and cook until the other, un-cooked slice has browned as well.

8Serve.
