  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. cooking oil
  • 3 whole eggs
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 c. flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. prunes
  • 1/2 c. to 1 c. nuts

Directions

    Beat sugar, cooking oil, eggs and buttermilk together.

    Then add flour, salt, baking soda, allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, prunes and nuts.

    Bake in loaf pan at 325° for about 40 minutes. As you take out of oven, pour glaze mixture over cake. (Pierce top of cake first, gently).
