  • 1 c. oil
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped prunes
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Combine oil, sugar and eggs.

    Add dry ingredients and mix. Add remaining ingredients and blend thoroughly.

    Bake at 325° for 40 to 60 minutes in an angel food cake pan.

    Remove from oven and allow to cool 5 minutes.

    Remove from pan and place in a deep serving dish.

    Spoon on topping.
