  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 12 cups sugar
  • 1 cup cooking oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1 cup prune, chopped
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 12 cup buttermilk
  • 12 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 12 cup butter

Directions

    Mix together first 6 ingredients.

    Set aside.

    Mix sugar, oil, buttermilk, eggs and vanilla.

    Stir dry mixture into the wet mixture.

    Fold in nuts and prunes.

    Grease a tube pan and line with parchment paper.

    Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

    Cool for 15 minutes and remove from pan.

    Mix glaze ingredients together and cook over medium heat.

    Stir constantly until glaze turns a caramel color.
