  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Wesson oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. chopped, cooked prunes
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. each: vanilla, soda, salt, nutmeg, allspice and cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 c. flour

    Sift dry ingredients together.

    Add Wesson oil, buttermilk and eggs.

    Mix well, then add prunes and nuts.

    Mix well.

    Pour in two 8-inch round pans or 1 long pan, 9 x 13-inches.

    Bake 30 to 40 minutes.
