  • 1 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. each: salt, soda, nutmeg, allspice and cinnamon
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. cooked prunes
  • 1 c. chopped pecans, dusted with flour

Directions

    Mix oil, sugar and eggs. Blend well. Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture. Blend well. Add buttermilk and vanilla. Blend well. Fold in prunes and chopped pecans. Bake in greased, floured 9 x 13 pan at 300° for 50 minutes.
