- 1 heaping c. chopped prunes
- 1/2 tsp. finely shredded orange peel (optional)
- 1 c. orange juice
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 heaping tsp. cinnamon
- 2 beaten eggs
- 2 Tbsp. salad oil
- 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Combine prunes, orange peel and juice; let stand 1/2 hour. Sift together dry ingredients.

2Combine eggs, oil and prune mixture; add to dry ingredients, mixing well.

3Add nuts.

4Turn into oiled 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan or use 2 aluminum ring molds. Bake at 350° for 55 minutes in loaf pan, a little less in ring molds.

5Remove from pan; cool.
