  • 1 unbaked crust
  • prunes
  • 2 1/2 c. milk
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • vanilla to taste

Directions

    Cook prunes.

    Add sugar to taste.

    Seed and mash prunes.

    Just cover bottom of crust.

    Beat eggs; add sugar, butter, flour, salt, milk and vanilla.

    Fill crust with custard.

    Bake at 400° for first few minutes until custard begins to set.

    Lower temperature to 200° and bake until done (about one hour).
