Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 4 None eggs
  • 5-6 drops red food coloring
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 6 None disposable wooden kinves
  • 6 None disposable wooden chopsticks

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 12-cup muffin pan with paper liners. Mix sugar, butter, flour, baking powder, vanilla, milk, eggs and 2-3 drops food coloring until smooth and creamy. Distribute between paper liners and bake for 20-25 mins, until risen and just firm to the touch. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.

    Whisk powdered sugar with lemon juice until smooth. Reserve 1 tbsp and brush remainder over tops of cupcakes. Add remaining food coloring to reserved icing. Push knives and chopsticks into cupcakes and drizzle red icing around to resemble blood.
