  • 12 cup dry red wine
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (or more depending on taste) or 1 teaspoon red pepper (or more depending on taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 14 cup cold water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme (or a bundle of it tied together)
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
