- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. softened margarine
- 2 eggs
- 1 (1 lb.) can pumpkin
Directions

1Lightly grease 2 (9 x 5-inch) loaf pans.

2Preheat oven to 325°.

3Sift flour with salt, baking powder, soda and spices, then set aside.

4In large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed, beat sugar with butter just until blended.

5Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one.

6Continue beating until light and fluffy.

7Beat in pumpkin.

8At low speed, beat in flour mixture until combined.
