Ingredients
- 2 c. all purpose flour
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp. ginger or cloves
- 1 c. canned pumpkin
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Mix 1 cup flour and all other ingredients, except walnuts, for 2 minutes on high speed.

3Add remaining flour and beat well.

4Stir in walnuts.

5Pour into greased loaf pan.

6Bake for 60 to 65 minutes.

7Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.

8Wrap and store overnight before slicing.

9Makes 1 loaf.
