- 1 qt. apple cider
- 1/2 c. maple syrup
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. pumpkin
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. cornmeal
- 9 to 10 c. flour
Directions

1Warm cider, butter, syrup, pumpkin and salt in a large pot until butter melts.

2When mixture is lukewarm, add yeast; let rest 5 minutes.

3Stir in flour, 2 cups at a time (add the cornmeal) until dough is thick and sticky.

4Knead dough, adding extra flour until dough feels firm.

5Place dough into a greased bowl.

6Let rise 1 hour in a warm place.

7Punch down; knead briefly and divide into 3 loaves.

8Place loaves in greased pans.

9Let rise 45 minutes.

10Bake at 375° about 1 hour.
