  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. pecan halves
  • whipped cream (optional)
  • 1 c. dark Karo syrup
  • 1/2 c. canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. melted margarine

Directions

    Combine eggs, Karo syrup, sugar, pumpkin, vanilla and salt. Stir in pecans and melted margarine.

    Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes, then at 350° for 25 minutes.

    Cool. Serve with whipped cream; garnish with pecans.
