- 1 3/4 c. canned pumpkin
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 1/4 tsp. ginger
- 1/16 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/16 tsp. mace or nutmeg
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 2/3 c. water
Directions

1Heat pumpkin in saucepan over moderate heat for 10 minutes until somewhat dry, stirring frequently.

2Stir in butter.

3Mix together sugars, salt and spices; mix with hot pumpkin.

4Beat eggs slightly; add evaporated milk and water and gradually stir into pumpkin mixture.

5Pour into a 9-inch shell.

6Bake at 475° for 10 minutes and at 350° for 30 minutes.
