Punch Bowl Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 2 pkg. instant vanilla pudding (4 oz.)
  • 1 large can strawberry or cherry pie filling
  • 2 pkg. coconut (6 oz.)
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 large can fruit cocktail, drained
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 2 bowls Cool Whip (two 8 oz. or one 16 oz.)

Directions

    Bake cake mix in two round 9-inch layers.

    Cool cake completely.

    Prepare instant pudding following box directions. Refrigerate to jell.

    Place one layer of cake in bottom of large punch bowl and add in layers: 1/2 pudding, 1/2 pie filling, 1/2 fruit cocktail, 1/2 pineapple, 1/2 cup nuts and 1/2 coconut.

    Then add one bowl of Cool Whip.

    Repeat the layers, beginning with the other cake layer.

    Decorate the cake with cherries, nuts and coconut.
