Punch Bowl Cake

  • 1 Duncan Hines cake mix
  • 2 cans cherry pie filling (Thank You brand)
  • 2 large cans crushed pineapple, drained
  • 4 bananas
  • 3 pkg. vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 5 c. milk
  • 1 large container Cool Whip
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

    Bake cake according to directions.

    Using half of the cake, break into small portions.

    Place in the bottom of punch bowl. Mix the vanilla pudding mix with the milk.

    Pour half of this over cake in bowl.

    Spoon 1 can of cherry pie filling and 1 can of the drained pineapple.

    Next, slice 2 bananas, then sprinkle 1/2 of the chopped nuts.

    Spread 1/2 of the Cool Whip.

    Repeat the layers again.

    Decorate the top with cherries and nuts, if so desired. Serves 25 people.

    Let refrigerate overnight or several hours.
