Punch Bowl Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 small angel food cake (pound cake or 1 layer yellow cake)
  • 1 large red Jell-O made with 3 c. water
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans crushed pineapple
  • 1 large size pkg. vanilla instant pudding (use slightly less milk)
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 (16 oz.) cherry pie filling
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip

Directions

    Layer pieces of cake in bottom of punch bowl.

    Pour prepared Jell-O over cake.

    Add pineapple with juice.

    Slice bananas over pineapple.

    Add pie filling.

    Reserve 5 or 6 cherries for garnish. Top with Cool Whip and garnish with reserved cherries and pecan pieces.

    Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
