  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 lb. cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 can (14-1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (2 lb.) refried beans
  • 1 can (4 oz.) green chile peppers

Directions

    Melt butter in heavy saucepan.

    Stir in butter until well blended.

    Add milk and cook on medium heat until warm.

    Add cheese a quarter at a time and stir frequently.

    When cheese is all melted, add final three ingredients.

    Continue to cook and stir until it is heated through and ingredients are well blended.

    Serve with tortilla chips.
