- 6 ounces swiss cheese, grated
- 8 slices bacon, crisp & crumbled
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 12 cup 1% low-fat milk
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 1 dash cayenne
- 14 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1 frozen 9-inch deep dish pie crust

1Sprinkle cheese & bacon in pie crust.

2(I cook the bacon & grate the cheese the night before so it's easier on Christmas morning.

4At this point you can add 1 10 oz pkg of chopped spinach (thawed & squeezed dry) or 1 small can of sliced mushrooms (drained), or use your imagination.

5(I usually make at least 2 on Christmas & so the variations were born.

7Mix together remaining ingredients & pour over cheese (& whatever else you may have added).

8Bake in 375 deg oven for 50 minutes until firm & slightly browned.

9Test with a toothpick.
