- 1/2 lb. bacon
- 2 c. milk or cream
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. white pepper
- nutmeg
- 1/4 c. sauteed onions
- 1/2 c. diced Swiss cheese
- 1 (9-inch) pie shell
Directions

1Brush pie shell with white of an egg and poke with fork.

2Fry bacon, stirring constantly until fat almost all rendered out, but bacon isn't crisp.

3Drain off fat.

4Scald milk or cream; cool slightly.

5Beat milk (or cream) with 4 eggs, salt, white pepper and sprinkle of nutmeg.

6Sprinkle bottom of pie shell with bacon and sauteed onions.

7Pour egg mixture on top.

8Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 375° or until top is golden brown.
