- 1/2 lb. bacon
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. heavy cream
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- pinch of pepper
- pinch of nutmeg
- 1/4 c. grated Swiss cheese
Directions

1Cut bacon in 1-inch pieces; cook until crisp.

2Drain on absorbent paper.

3Spread on bottom of pie shell.

4Beat eggs, cream and seasonings just enough to blend.

5Stir in cheese; pour into pie shell.

6Bake at 375° for about 35 minutes or until pie shell is golden brown and filling is firm.

7Serves 4 as an entree, 8 to 12 as an appetizer.
