  • pastry for 9-inch one crust pie
  • 12 slices bacon, crispy and crumbled
  • 4 oz. Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1/3 c. minced onion
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. whipping cream
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne red pepper

Directions

    Heat oven to 425°.

    Prepare pastry as package directs. Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion in pie shell.

    Beat eggs slightly, then beat in remaining ingredients.

    Pour into pie shell; bake for 15 minutes.

    Reduce oven to 300°; bake 30 minutes longer, or until knife inserted one inch from edge comes out clean.

    Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
