- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell
- 8 slices bacon, diced
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 lb. Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of bottled hot pepper sauce
- dash of nutmeg
- 1 3/4 c. milk
- 3 beaten eggs
Directions

1Bake pastry shell in very hot oven at 450° for about 5 to 7 minutes, until lightly browned.

2Remove from oven and reduce heat to 325°.

3Fry bacon and onion until bacon is crisp; drain.

4Place in pie shell.

5Add cheese.

6Combine remaining ingredients and pour over those in pie shell.

7Bake at 325° for 35 to 40 minutes or until almost set in the middle.

8Cool 25 minutes.

9Serves 6.
