  • 2 unbaked pie shells
  • 2 (8 oz.) pkg. Swiss cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 stick butter, melted
  • 6 slices bacon, crumbled
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of cayenne powder and nutmeg
  • 1 1/3 c. half and half

Directions

    Melt butter.

    Line pie shells with cheese and bacon.

    Beat eggs in bowl.

    Add other ingredients.

    Stir in cream and butter. Then pour mixture over cheese and bacon.

    Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.

    Lower temperature of oven to 350° and bake 30 minutes more, until quiche is bubbly and golden brown.
