  • 1 Tbsp. bacon drippings
  • 1 c. thinly sliced onions
  • 1 1/2 c. cubed Gruyere or any semi-soft cheese
  • 4 slices crisp bacon
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 c. heavy cream and 1 c. milk or 2 c. light cream
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. white pepper
