- 3 small eggs
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 8 strips cooked bacon, diced
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- dash of salt, pepper and nutmeg
- 1 c. diced Gruyere cheese
- 1 (10-inch) pie crust (ready-to-use), uncooked
Directions

1In a medium size bowl, beat eggs with a whisk.

2Add cream and beat; then add salt and spices.

3Sprinkle cheese and bacon in bottom of crust.

4Pour cream and egg mixture over it.

5Dot top of quiche with small chunks of butter.

6Put pie plate onto cookie sheet and carefully slip into preheated 350° oven.

7Cook 40 minutes or until quiche has puffed up into a dome and slightly brown.

8Allow to cool at least one half hour before serving. Serves 6 to 8.
