- pastry, single crust
- 1/2 lb. Swiss cheese, sliced
- 3/4 lb. bacon, sliced
- 4 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- cayenne
- nutmeg
- 2 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Line a 9-inch pan with pastry.

2Cover with cheese.

3Fry bacon until crisp, crumble and arrange on top of cheese.

4Beat eggs with flour, salt, cayenne and nutmeg.

5Add milk and melted butter. Pour custard over bacon and cheese.

6Bake in 375° oven for 40 minutes, until set.

7Cut into wedges.

8Serve warm as an hors d'oeuvre.
