  • 1 c. sugar, divided (1/2 and 1/2)
  • 1/4 c. margarine or oil
  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. berries or fruit
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 c. water

Directions

    Beat 1/2 cup sugar and margarine until smooth. Add next 5 ingredients and beat until smooth. Spray a 2-quart dish with Pam; spread batter in dish. Put berries or fruit over batter. Mix remaining sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle over fruit. Pour water over top. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes.
