  • 3 c. milk
  • 1/3 c. sugar or honey
  • 1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

    Combine all ingredients except vanilla in a saucepan; cook over medium heat until thickened, 25 to 30 minutes, stirring often.
