Ingredients
- 3 cup flour
- 125 grams cold butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup sourmilk (amasi) or buttermilk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp bicarb
- 1/2 tsp salt
Directions

1Add dry ingredients to a mixing bowl and mix with a fork

2Then add butter, and mix it into the dry mixture with your hands until it's incorporated.

3Then add sourmilk /buttermilk and mix until it forms a soft dough.

4It should still be slightly sticky.

5Add more flour if mixture is too moist

6Knead dough for a minute or so, then shape into scone shapes and bake in the oven until done.

7You can add cheese, thyme and cayenne pepper if you want a more savoury scone.

8Serve hot on its own or with butter, jam and cream.
