- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 2 1/2 c. sifted self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 3/4 c. lukewarm buttermilk
Directions

1In bowl, dissolve yeast in water.

2Add buttermilk, half the flour, sugar and shortening.
