  • 3 3/4 c. flour
  • 5 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 eggs

Directions

    Combine dry ingredients; cut butter into flour mixture until mixture is like bread crumbs.

    Stir in cheese.

    In a separate bowl, combine the milk and eggs.

    Add to cheese mixture; mix just until moistened.

    Spoon into greased loaf pan.

    Bake at 375° for 1 hour or until golden brown.

    Recipe can be halved and baking time adjusted.
