Quick Chow Mein

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2 c. sliced celery
  • 1 c. green pepper strips
  • 1/2 c. sliced onion
  • 1 (1 lb.) can bean sprouts, drained
  • 1 c. bouillon
  • 2 tsp. soy sauce
  • 2 c. diced, cooked meat (pork, chicken, roast beef or turkey)
  • 1 Tbsp. corn starch
  • 3 c. cooked white rice

    In hot butter in large skillet, cook celery, green pepper and onion about 5 minutes.

    Add sprouts, bouillon, soy sauce and meat, mixing until well combined.

    Bring to boiling.

    Remove from heat. Combine corn starch with 1 tablespoon cold water until smooth. Slowly stir into mixture.

    Bring to boil; boil for 1 minute. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, uncovered, stirring occasionally.

    Serve over rice.
