- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 4 tablespoons chili powder (*not cayenne! also, see note below if you do not like heat*)
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 14 teaspoon oregano
- 2 cups stock
- 14 cup catsup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons lime juice
Directions

1Heat oil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat.

2Add flour and stir together over the heat for one minute.

3Stir in the remaining seasonings (chili powder through oregano).

4Gradually add in the stock, whisking constantly to remove lumps.

5Add the sugar, catsup and lime juice.

6Reduce heat and simmer 10-15 minutes until thick.

7Use immediately or refrigerate in an air-tight container for up to two weeks.
