  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 beaten eggs

Directions

    Bring to boil the butter, Crisco, cocoa and water.

    Pour over flour and sugar which has been mixed.

    Stir until smooth.

    Add rest of ingredients.

    Bake in cake pan at 350° until toothpick comes out clean when inserted in cake.

    Pour icing over hot cake.
