- 5 lb. cucumbers
- 1/2 c. lime
- water
- 7 c. sugar
- 5 c. vinegar
- 1/2 box pickling spices, tied in a bag
Directions

1Slice cucumbers into a stone crock or jar.

2Sprinkle with lime and add enough water to cover.

3Allow to sit overnight.

4The next morning, rinse cucumbers several times in cold water.

5Combine sugar, vinegar and pickling spices in a large container.

6Add cucumbers and cook until pickles are crystal clear.

7Pour into hot jars and seal.

8Process in boiling water bath 5 minutes.
