Quick Dill Pickles

Ingredients

  • 5 c. water
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. salt (heaping)
  • 1 stalk of dill
  • 1 garlic bud
  • 8 to 10 small cucumbers or 10 to 15 Kirby cukes

Directions

    Boil together water, vinegar and salt.

    Remove from heat and let cool completely.

    Place 1/2 stalk of dill in bottom of a bean pot (cookie jar size) along with garlic bud.

    Add washed cucumbers.

    Pour cooled water over cucumbers (being sure that all cucumbers are covered).

    Add other half of dill stalk; cover. Keep covered for three days.

    After that, refrigerate.
