- 1 qt. sweetened and cooked fruit (blackberries)
- 1 stick oleo
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Melt oleo in 9 x 13-inch pan.

2Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, milk and melted oleo.

3Spread in bottom of pan, then pour fruit over the top (the fruit needs to be cooked long enough to melt sugar and make syrup).

4I use blackberries or rhubarb or peaches; use sugar to sweeten as needed.

5Bake at 350° until brown on top.
