Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 2 c. fruit
  • 2/3 to 3/4 stick oleo
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 c. milk

Directions

    Add 2/3 cup sugar to 2 cups fruit (use any fresh or drained canned fruit or berries).

    Set oven at 350° and put oleo in deep dish, approximately 6 x 10-inches.

    Put in oven to melt.

    Stir up batter of 3/4 cup sugar, 3/4 cup flour, salt, baking powder and milk.

    Pour batter over melted oleo.

    Do not stir.

    Then pour fruit over batter. Bake approximately 1 hour.

    Batter will rise to top.

    Brown and crisp when done.
